When using VirtualBox, the network interface that is connected to the network in GNS3 should be configured with the following setting: Promiscuous Mode - Allow All in the Settings/Network/Adapter menu. First, the script sets the desired network interface to PROMISC mode, so that all traffic will be accepted - this is needed for the client functionality and packet sniffing.
The script is written in Python 2.7.3 and runs on Linux systems.
